Tree Work Across Somerset

Managing trees can mean different things depending on the property and the land involved. A homeowner may need a tree pruned or removed from a garden, while an estate or commercial site may require ongoing forestry, clearance or woodland management.

RG Tree Services provides tree and forestry services across Somerset and Devon, working with homeowners, businesses, estates, landowners and local authorities.

The company has experience ranging from domestic tree surgery through to larger commercial and forestry projects, so the work can be planned around the size and requirements of the site.

Tree Surgeons for Homes and Businesses

Tree work needs to be approached differently depending on where the trees are located.

A tree growing close to a house, driveway or garden may need careful pruning or removal because of the limited working space. Larger sites can involve several trees, machinery, timber handling and vegetation clearance.

RG Tree Services undertakes both smaller tree work and larger projects, with its own machinery and access to specialist equipment and contractors when required.

The aim is to carry out the work in a practical way while keeping disruption to the surrounding property and site under control.

Tree Pruning and Tree Maintenance

Trees don’t always need to be removed when they become a problem. Pruning can be used to manage branches that have grown too far, reduce unwanted growth or deal with damaged parts of a tree. The right approach will depend on the individual tree and its location.

RG Tree Services can assess trees and discuss the type of work that may be appropriate, whether the job involves one tree in a garden or a larger number of trees across a property.

Tree Felling and Removal

Some trees eventually need to come down.

This may be because a tree has become unsuitable for its location, has been damaged, or needs to be cleared as part of another project. Felling can become more complicated when trees are close to buildings, roads, power lines or other obstacles.

RG Tree Services carries out tree felling and removal for domestic, commercial and land-management projects.

The work can also involve dealing with the timber and branches left behind. RG Tree Services provides wood chipping and biomass-related services, allowing material from tree work to be processed rather than simply left on site.

Commercial Tree Work in Somerset

Large-scale tree work can involve considerably more than cutting down individual trees.

RG Tree Services works with commercial clients, estates and local authorities on projects involving tree surgery, forestry and site clearance. Depending on the site, this can include tree removal, timber extraction, vegetation clearance and the use of heavy machinery.

Having access to suitable machinery is particularly useful on larger sites where there may be significant amounts of timber or vegetation to move.

The team can also undertake woodland management and forestry work where the project extends beyond individual trees.

Woodland Management and Forestry

Somerset has a mixture of woodland, farmland, estates and rural properties where trees form part of the wider landscape.

Managing these areas can involve removing selected trees, dealing with fallen or windblown timber, clearing vegetation or carrying out forestry work across larger areas.

RG Tree Services provides woodland management and forestry services as part of its wider range of land-management work.

The approach can be tailored to the size and condition of the site and the objectives of the landowner.

Site and Vegetation Clearance

Tree work can also be required before a site can be developed or used for another purpose.

RG Tree Services provides site and vegetation clearance for projects where trees, scrub, brash and other vegetation need to be removed. This can be particularly useful for development sites, estates and larger areas of land.

The company can combine tree work with machinery and biomass processing to deal with the material produced during clearance.
